 Workshop
Hellenic Society of Medicinal Chemistry and the Organizing Committee of the 14th Hellenic Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry would like to invite you to the 1st Hellenic WORKSHOP on Molecular Modeling and Molecular Docking.
During the Workshop, basic applications of Molecular Modeling will be presented on the 1st day of the 14th Hellenic Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry, the 23rd of April 2010. The Workshop will take place in a dedicated, fully equipped computer room of Battlenet cafe next to the Aristotle University Campus (Melenikou 32, Thessaloniki).
Registration
Applicants may register by sending an e-mail (Panagiotis Zoumpoulakis, email: pzoump@eie.gr, Kontogiorgis Christos, email: kontog@pharm.auth.gr). Priority order will be kept due to limited number of attendees (30).
Registration fees are 30 € including the training material.
Deadline
The deadline for the applications of the Workshop will be the 5th of March.
Program
10.00 - 12.00 Basics on Molecular Modeling (Building molecules in 3 dimensions, Energy calculation/minimization, Conformational
analysis, superimposition, molecular properties representation).
12.00 - 12.30 Coffee break
12.30 - 14.30 Molecular Docking (ligand preparation, protein preparation, evaluation of docked poses and binding energies).
